So Dr. Varney gets capitals but not God?
When was God never a person?
When was Varney ever a doctor.
Aha!

Now, the next time somebody calls me a diplomat, I want them to remember this post. :laughings::D:drunk::)

On what evidence do you assert that God is (or ever was) a real person?

Whether he has a real P.H.D. or not, 'Dr. Varney' is a proper noun. 'God' is a character found in stories and 'god!' is an exclamation, in which there are no hard and fast rooles fer kapitielyzayshun.

You are indeed a diplomat, Jim Lad. I will always remember you as such. :)

This paragraph (if you can call it that) contains everything I identify as part of the modern inability to punctuate, spell and form proper sentences. It even contains text speak. It shows inherant laziness which makes me feel undervalued as a reader, so why would I bother answering it?

Then here's a suggestion: tune it out, skim over it . . . ignore it (them) don't reply!

I am sure it is your posts the forum needs to elevate erudition

And I suffer from all standard human xenophobic response, patois of any genre might or might not irritate on any given day and being dyslexix I can't spell for GODmotherorcountry . . . but, whether I'm correct or not, my interpretation is that part of the 'trick' to participating in these type of distance, largely anonymous forums is to attempt to accurately parse both inquiry and response

and there is technical 'grammar' (e.g. physics of pressure waves & process(es) by which they are transduced into electrical signals and then encoded as digital information) which is abused (of course not merely by this forum) far more egregiously then any idiosyncratic spelling

The i might not know what 'it' is but know what I like celebrated ignorance, or 'i learned everything I need to know from a marketing blurb' (and will kill you if you disagree with me) is more damaging to value of forum then idiosyncratic punctuation.

I tend to respect the opinions of several of individuals with mastering experience that post regularly on the forum but tend to avoid (like cholera infected swamps) the mastering section . . . because 'it' tends to irritate me . . . and I figure no good can come from my responding there

if you feel a post is specifically offensive to you fuking ignore it GodDamnIt!!!!!!

People are still arguing on this?
Naw.....just engaging in some off topic sidechain inserting !! ;)

If he's not English, he would have had a better education than our kids.

Oh god, I do hope someone twigs onto my dry sense of humour soon...

Somehow, I think most of the damage was done before I got here.

Dr. V
Actually Doc, I wasn't referring to you in particular {I actually dig your sense of humour, God forgive me ! :D}, I was just making a general point that your post alerted me to.
The damage was done looooong before you got here, Reg !

if its wasnt for the beatles we would never have had kraftwerk

It occurs to me, you might not have been overly enamoured by my own post.

Yet you still chose to answer it. :)

I do not tell you how to respond.

Of course, it might be worth remembering that distance typing also carries this other, uncanny uncertainty to it: The level of true feeling behind apparent irritation isn't quite as easy to quantify... (Though the eratic use of expletives and a string of exclamation marks might offer a clue...?)

C'mon, man... drink up! :drunk:

OMG WTF!!

This can not go without a commment. No matter how funny it would be to insult Dr. Varney, all I can type is WTF!!

Thanks for taking all my energy specifically that I built up for the "Slam Dr. Varney" contest and well... well.... WTF!!!

Just for that I am about to start a new " Slam Dr. Varney Thread"

Dyslexic, Freak, yes, you freak of nature, you ruined my day, ... WTF

Hehe...! :)

Just a note... something worth considering... If you do decide to start a 'slam the doc' thread, be aware of my true concerns regarding education and how it seems it is our youth who are missing out. Things which many of us were lucky enough to receive.

I've had my tongue firmly in my cheek throughout this but I'm not laughing when I say it is something which, at times, makes myself and many others feel sad.

Dr. V

You are correct doc, we always have to think of the children!

We step over the line of natural selection when god allowed the mini-van WITH AIR BAGS

Metaphor:

If this thread was a car rolling along the correct road (the original purpose of the thread), I'm pretty sure we took the car, ran 4 red lights, smashed into a semi-truck, flew over the guardrail, fell off a cliff, rolled down a big hill, landed upside down, and then caught on fire and exploded.

And I like it :D
