Newbie question (what kind of Equipment for making home recording)

i dont have anything to prove here or anything but really hate that kind of people , its newbie section and it says out loud "Just starting? Afraid to ask a stupid question? Don't worry, in here nobody will laugh at you. But if it's on a topic covered in another forum, best to post it there"

So whats wrong if he asked what do i need to start, a simple answer like you need a computer, mic, software and audio interface would have worked but they did make fun of him. Yes there maybe be 100's of post about exact same thing but guess what ? instead of dissing him or making fun of him , just the simple answer would have worked or dont answer there at all. No one had to spoon feed him , he asked simple question and if you dint like the thread don't bother answering at all , if you can spent 2 minute dissing him then i am pretty sure you could have type the answer to his question.

This is not the only thread, its pretty much same story in most of the threads in newbie sections.


And i am here to stay until the time i learn whatever i need to , so i will keep posting against these bullies and i will keep learning from the people who help. I am pretty sure this thread opener was quite discouraged with all the bullsh!t , i sure did feel like stupid when Armistice's replied with similar shit in my post and couple of other people.

i saw one person say something "wrong". Armistice, he's guilty of it, dunno why he feels the need to drum it into people head..but he is right to a certain extent..read


your interface, monitors, mic, may not be any use to him...he could have a budget of $1000 he could have a budget of $100...in truth either will do, quality will differ

but i will always suggest tweakheadz..always...its the single best piece of information on the internet for newcomers to home recording

not most but some...I used to spend a lot of time in this forum...but people are lazy sometimes..you wouldn't join a motorbike owners site and ask "how do i ride a bike"...you would think you'd take care of that part of the deal

The rest is just us explaining ourselves and letting off steam. And who knows, perhaps one day other newbies will come across this and it will help them understand both sides of the coin while some of the more experienced may be reminded that they too were once new with no idea where to turn....

This nails it. The new generation wants to be spoon fed everything and won't take the time to start with a simple search. They post moronic answerless questions, and expect to be respected even though they've done nothing to EARN respect. Hell, kids don't even keep score in games anymore because someone's feelings will get hurt if they don't win!.

I'm glad I came from the greatest generation. We ate lead paint, played with lawn darts, kept score and called the losing team LOSERS!. Only a few of us lost an eye, and hell some of us are still hear to pass on our knowledge.

I think it's possible that English is not Mol_Kres' first language. If that's the case, then it wouldn't be surprizing that they would write like that. I remember asking this Dutch guy some years back how come everyone in Holland spoke fluent English but punctuated with a few odd phrases that we'd never use in England and sounding almost American in their accenting. He told me he in particular had learned English from watching American films.
Anyway, I think we should always make allowances for the possibility that someone posting isn't entirely fluent in English. Let's face it, there's enough misunderstanding on this site from those that speak the damn language fluently !

Oh no , he doesn't care if people are from different countries, they need to speak with him in polite, proper grammar and punctuated English language. If not , the subject isnt worth answering. I dont get this straights , they can type like 1000 words reply abusing and dissing the newbie but they cant give a simple and straight answer. All i said is if the thread fucking bothers you , then move on dont reply . Good for you for standing up for newbies, and keeping guys like me in line. I went back and looked at your posts and you know, you haven't been posting for very long, but you ask good questions and have stood up for others.
