I have a omni studio 66, it appears to be running correctly
as i can see signal in from my guitar thru the Delta control
panel ...........I cant seem to get Sonar to see any signal
from the omni studio , the drivers seemed to be correctly
loaded and the wave profiler ran correctly ....but i cant
get any signal to come on the meter for track 1 ...the input
is set to (Left pcm in 1/2 delta 66).....i must be doing something
obiviously stupid .....????

P4 2.4 gig
512 Ram
win 2000
omni studio 66
SBlive Plat

Thanks in advance

Do you have the track armed? You won't see any signal on the recording meters until the track is armed (click the R button next to track title).

Yes had the track armed.
Have been reading all the manuals ,hehe

Thanks in advance

Did you check the Delta Control panel to make sure your inputs are not muted and the volume is up?

You also have to check the routing and see whether everything is being routed through the monitor mixer.

I'm at work and not near my DAW, but try and open the Delta mixer and go to the patchbay page. Change the setting for the 1/2 pair from Wave to H/W 1/2. See if that does it for you.

Even after 2+ years of working with this stuff, I'm still not sure I completely understand the Delta patchbay. However, I can at least get the equipment to do what I want (usually).

Im up and running

Hey all,
I decided to give Midiman a call to give the Omni
Studio a thumbs up before i got into it with Cakewalk.

It turns out it was the delta 66 not working correctly.
Driver issues and such, possible irq conflicts , but i dont think it was the case as the irqs are the same now as before the reinstall. You also have to manually delete quite a few files before installing updated drivers. I believe that was my issue

So after a point in the right direction by Midiman and some disection on my own part i am up and running ........so far ;-)

Thanks for the response,
im sure ill be asking for more
guidance in the future.
