ok, so I want to have a patchbay but I am not sure if it will work the way I want it to.
First off, the signals would be running through several pieces of rack gear and then out of the patchbay and into my FireWire 410.
I basically wanted to have every device connected to the back of the patch pay. the upper back connection being the input for that device and the lower back being the output. Then the front connections would correspond to the same things.
That way I can just use patch cables on the front to interconnect the effects chain I want. So If I want to go into a BBE and then into a V-amp and then into a Lexicon Reverb I could plug my guitar into the upper front BBE ( the input ) and then link that front lower to the front upper of the V-amp. I basically just want to use the front inputs of the patchbay as a coupler for the back input. Just a connection point. Is this possible?
Also, do I have to convert signals at all or can I run out of the patchbay and into the FireWire410 directly??
Thanks a lot guys.
