hey there.

I recently bought a line6 podxt, I have a laptop and a guitar. but for some reason that ain't enough!

my question is:

how the hell can i just record a guitar track from my pod to cubase sx? At the mo I am plugging me guitar into the pod, the pod is usb'd into me laptop, and cubase won't pick up anything.

I hear all this stuff about needing a DI box or a mixer, etc, etc but surely it's possible to get a guitar track down without them?? Or not maybe!

Please help if you can!
thanks,

jimmmy

The pod should cover any purpose that a DI or mixer would serve.I don't know cubase, but presumably you need to tell it what you're using as an input device(onboard sound, pod or any other hardware that might be plugged in to the computer.)Check your preferences, audio, input device, blah blah, and make sure the pod is selected.

Yeah that's what I thought but I've looked at everything I can and couldn't find anywhere to tell cubase I was going through the pod...

I've posted a question on the Cubase forums in here too so any users may know.

thanks matey
