Hey guys newbie here), i wonder if any of you can help me?..Ive was putting together a drum arrangement on my Boss BR-1200 no problem) but a few times i got the (error memory full..or hdd full) pop up on the screen?? i thought it was strange as i haven't got that many songs on there and i haven't used it that much to fill up the hdd or anything??..but i deleted a few odd ones that i got on there anyway to free up some space, and that seemed to do the trick okay!)..but then last-night i accidentally deleted the drum arrangement that i was working on, whoops'',i was totally gutted!!, so then i had to start all over again!....but now i keep getting the (error memory full) pop up??..how can it be full when i (unfortunately) deleted the original drum arrangement ..surely that would free up some space?..and i haven't even got that many measures of drums laid down yet??..it doesn't make sense to me as i had the first (original) drum arrangement nearly finished with more mesures patterns ect,and i didn't get anymore (error memory full) problems??.. but now with the (new) drum arrangement that im trying to put together it wont even let me get half way without the (error memory full) popping up??..do i need to optimize it or something?..like i said tho i haven't used up that much space not that im aware of anyway?..i would really appreciate if any of you can help me out, thank-you!...:)

Try posting this over in the Boss/Roland section of the forum but, if I remember correctly, deleting a track doesn't really remove it from memory (it's still being held there under a different name), so there is another process needed to clear the HD.

Hey mjbphotos, thanx for the reply much appreciated:)..yeah Ive posted on the Roland site too have got any reply's yet??ha-ha...but in the meentime ive just saved the tracks and deleted the file, now starting a fresh!..:)

I'm not familiar with the machine, but these things typically save everything you do, and every change you make, by default, so you can "undo" stuff. That's at the price of disk space and you can quickly fill up the build in disk. I always go and "optimise" tracks so all that information is deleted, thus freeing up vast amounts of disk real estate.

Could be something like that. Hard to know. And I don't know what BOSS call "optimising" but shouldn't be hard to work it out...
