At's a real toe tappa . . .

Makes ya wanna get up !

Where is the download page? I gould get only the lo fi plays.

Both tunes excellent there, boss.

Uh.. Not much to say.. Excellent recording. Did you do it yourself?

Music totally turns me off, so I'll refrain from further comments on it..

Well...

Not my favorite type of music. It's hard to judge based on short clips, but the songs just don't do much for me. It sounds well recorded though.
You need to tweak you site a little: When I clicked on the "mp3" button to download a song, the download began and the web browser closed, forcing me to re-open a new browser and surf to your site again. Very annoying. Tried it 3 times all w/ the same result.
Though it was not my cup of tea, I wish you the best. I love to see individuals going it on their own. It is the only path to music as an art.
Best of luck.

Thanks for the feedback everybody....

Meshuggah:
I did do it myself on a VS1680 machine. Then mastered with a Masterlink...

bball jones:
As for the mp3.com download, it should be available. I was able to download on my machine....hmmmmm....

Aaron Cheney:
Can you tell me what browser (and version) you are using? That is the first I have heard of that problem. I would like to fix it as soon as I can recreate the problem.

Thanks again!

I listened to If You See Mary, which is a well-crafted pop song, with a really nice vocal. For this genre, I think you want to make the vocal more prominent a back off the guitar a little.

LI Slim:

Yeah, I hear you....That is the most common piece of advice that I have received since putting out the CD. Thanks for checking it out! I have learned tons since this project and cannot wait to apply it for my next CD.

Thanks again,
Keith

Hey, I dug these songs, and thought they sounded great. I'd agree on the backing off the guitar just a bit comments, but think you've got a good thing going here.

What was your setup for your acoustic guitar recording, if I might ask?

Keep up the good work...looks like your CD is out now according to your site.

Paul

Thanks nwduffer,

I recorded an Ovation shallow body (I know, probably the WORST acoustic to record with!), through a RODE NT2. I used a DBX286 mic preamp into the VS1680.

I am really happy with the tones I get. With some minor EQ tweaks, I am able to get a full sound.

And yes, the CD is out and you can get it online through my web site....

Thanks for the nice comments!

Keith,

I listened to both. I wasn't crazy about the accoustic guitar sound in "Face in the Crowd", can't put my finger on why and as a song this one didn't grab me.

"If You See Mary" - THis song is not bad at all. I agree with LI Slim about this being a well crafted pop song. The production overall was fine on both I thought. Very good work on this one!

Hey Ray,

thanks for checking out the tunes....

I think that song IF YOU SEE MARY may be one of the songs I am going to push (I am starting to get radio play)...

Just not sure what avenue to take on the song to pick...

If anybody digs any other tunes on my CD web site,

http://www.keithlubrant.com

let me know (every sample is just the chorus, I can't give away the cow for free!!! But there are 14 songs)

Thanks for all your input. I really do appreciate even the negative comments. It helps a person improve their recording and songwriting skills.

Thanks,
Keith
