i cant speak for all the stuff but from what ive heard all that stuff is good. by the way you will need to buy two monitors. if price is an issue just get two rp5.

yeah i know .. one for left one for right..
but more people ?

what are you recording? if you dont need 8 channels you would be better off with a nicer 2 channel interface.

dont need more help buy that stuff and have fun recording yourself..

If you're doing male rap vocals, and just male, you might wanna go with a CAD M9 instead of the sE2200a. I've tried the 2200a on male vocals and imo it never sounds good. The M9 will give you that "edge"

i rap angry and sometimes screaming.. so is the mic good for that ?

It really depends what you want. I would go with an M9 because I like a gritty sound for rap vocals. If you want a clean and clear sound though, go with the 2200a.

Are you recording on PC or Mac?
If you're recording on MAC then I'd consider getting the Apogee Duet. Better pres and A/D D/A converters!
The SE 2200a is a nice mic but there are other excellent mics that are cheaper such as :-

CAD M177
MXL V67g
Studio Projects B1

You could use the money you save on the mic to go towards the Duet?

i had this mic. MXL V67i .. has a warm sound.. its good voor singing..
and not a RODE mic. please, dont like the sound..
rrrrrr confused now .. which mic. shall i choose..

Edit : still using PC..

The se2200a will have a similar flavor to the sound of the v67, not the same by any means, but going in the similar direction for sound. So if you liked the v67, I'd suggest the se2200a.

You might want to try the listening sessions since they audition a bunch of mics with hip hop vocals along with singing and instruments etc.

"bunch of mics with hip hop vocals" i see only one Hiphop Track..
but which mic. has a different flavour ? and wich preamp is good..
Preamp and Mic. Budget = 500€

pff..

hmm.. very confused now.. which one will u pick that you can use it for years ?
and i think that CAD mics. not easy to find it in europe..
