I just picked up a Tascam MS-16 tonight, and will be picking up a spare parts machine along with it this weekend.

The heads look like they're in good shape. The whole thing could use some serious cleaning though. The previous owner played it for me and it sounded awesome. I've ordered some GP9 on hubs and some throwaway tape from eBay so that I can get down to business with it in a week or so.

I've kept my eye out for years on Craigslist for one. One or two have popped up, but cost way too much for me to do anything about it, or to even go look at it.

This one cost me $800 with a spare parts machine. I'm going to be selling one of my MSR-16's to pay for it, I just hope I'll be able to sell it for what I paid for it a few years ago. I'd consider selling both MSR's, but I've just got so much 1/2" tape it doesn't seem worth it. Maybe if I'm ever able to find a 1/2" 2 track...
