Vox,

Nice sounds dude. The vocals don't have to amount to anything and I didn't hear any glaring miscues. Re-track if you must, but try something radically different if you do. Don't waste time perfecting this if the vox are already this good.

Like you've said, this sounds like a lot of sequencing work. That's probably why I never got into samplers and that. I have no patience. This is indeed Our Song.

Total 80's!!!

If you'd drop the vocals deeper into the mix with a 80's (cheesy?) reverb to overpower the vox line, this would be the perfect song to play while lifting your boombox over your head to show your woman how much you love her...
 
Wow!

The mix avoids that mushy muddy bleeding thang that can happen with all those synth sounds. Nice and defined. Nice mixing.

I didn't really dig the tune itself ( never got into this stuff when I was younger either) but, I admire the mix, arrangment and instumentation alot.

Oh shit, I think it's stuck in my head........

Sorry, it was the first thing that came to mind when i started listening.........everything is cool, except the voice sounds a bit dry in the parts where it hangs......but where you add the extra voices is cool.....it's a catchy tune though.....sounds great
 
Man VOXVENDOR, you sure do make excellent recordings. It sounds great. Very good job. I don't remember the 80's too much, but it did remind me of it. Cool.
 
You sure you didn't just dig up an old New Order outtake? ;)

As soon as the synth started jammin, I thought immeditately of New Order. That crazy euro-pop-dance-synth music straight from the 80's.

Sounds like you had a lot of fun putting it together- but are you sure you should have raised this musical style from the dead! :eek:

Cool Tune!

Great tune! Gotta break out the boombox for this one. :D The drum sounds are right on and the synths sound really good too. Nice work! :)
 
excellent production, sounds like it's been mastered to me! Makes me feel like I need to go back to the woodshed and brush up my recording/mixing techniques.
How do you like that Boss drum machine you're using? Is it pretty versatile and easy to use?

whoa...that was the 80's...but not the 80's kind of music I was expecting. no gtrs, eh?? Kinda like an ABBA feel to it, with a little harder edge with the drums. Vocals need sumpin to "spice em up" to match the groovy stereo synths ya got happening. I can dig this kind of music though.

needs a subwoofer to part my chest hair:eek:
