Hi, I notice that there are many here that love good, cost effective mics to record with. I have found the best mic for recording virtually every instrument imaginable! These mics beat your favorite high-end expensive brands in sound and cost. The ASM B-1 is simply the best single pattern condensor mic available! These amazing mics retail for just $99.95. The ASM B-1 has a freq. response of 9-40kHz and a noise floor of -196dB.

You can quite imagine the crystal clear recordings that can be made.

So, how do we do it for such a low price? Remember, these mics are better in fit, form and function than even the top "N" mic.

We buy the parts in China and assemble these amazing mics while the barge is sailing to the U.S. Yes, thats right. we BUILD the mics ON THE BARGE.

We think that this innovative approach to precision mic building is head and shoulders above any mic builder anywhere.

I would appreciate any and all responses to this generous first-time offer. Try one of these thoroughbred beauties at *our* expense. Go to our website, or meet us at the dock in good ol' Boston, Ma! We are there once every two weeks on Friday between 8Am and 5Pm. This is our usual INS inspection day for our diligent workers.

Look forward to hearing your recordings with our fine, Made-closeto-USA mics!

Thankyou!!

I bet those cheap mics sound like just like burning spam on tinfoil.

Are you sure it's not a joke? If it is, it's not very funny...

Cool: drunken sailors build chinese mics on a barge while sailing accross the ocean! No wonder the mics sound just like the Neumanns. Neumann does the same thing, but their barges have to cross the equator twice on U-boots to pass quality control

I think the bit about building them on the barge is the give-away that this is a parody.

Thank you DJL for your interest in the ASM B-1. As you may know, your "burning spam on tinfoil" analogy is quite interesting. Most "high-end" mics freq range maxes out at around 20kHz. As you have read, the ASM B-1 maxes out at a whopping 40kHz!

This is most important with digital recordings as the added headroom is most beneficial to fine recordings. The high 40kHz headroom is due to the fact that our mic runs on +248V phantom power.

Again, thankyou DJL for your continued interest and positive opinion of the ASM B-1 mic!

+248v!!! I want one! Give me power ye 'ole barge mic!

spam.....tastes better cooked with cheese and tomato

Send me one for review and if it stands up to your remarks, I will promote it here. Otherwise, please go get a marketing budget and pay to promote like your competitiors do.

Actually, I need 2 for review and several thousands dollars in expense money, so I can tell everyone they are **EXACTLY** like Neumann (only better) after my dispassionate evaluation.

I was going to take you to task for spamming, but I found your whole concept so intersesting that I'd like to know if any fly-over-country distributorships are available. I would be a good distributor. I have many stupid friends.

Wow! This guy is sooo unbelievable that I can't tell if this is spam or scam. If it's a joke, it gets a C+. If you are even remotely serious, I can't believe how stupid you think we are.-Richie

This is a great idea! It saves a lot on the overhead of having a factory to maintain.

Have you thought about flying them over? A trip on a barge is still going to cost you for food, bunk space and latrine maintenance (for what can't go over the side) and they'll still waste time masturbating if they get half a chance. If the workers could be trained to work lickety-split, you could have the mics ready by the time the plane touched down.

This would allow even greater savings, not to mention a cleaner end product - I understand those barges can get pretty gooky (no politically incorrect pun intended. :)) If you could drop the price to $29.95, let me know - I'd like to pick up a few.

This is a great idea, however, we need the time to build our award winning Megapro ASM-B1 mics. Flying manufacturing will not do. Another problem is that if a worker gets sick and dies, we just dump the body in the ocean. How would this work in a plane?

Sorry, we have the better idea!

Wise up guys, the phoenix rises every month or so with more sage advice and kerosine for the campfire

I don't know guys?!?!?! I am a little iffy about it. $99.95 is a little too much for me. If you threw something else for free it would be better. Maybe like a free cheese grater. Or maybe free mp3 downloads.

Note this thread was started last June, and Mr. Sales has rebirthed it due to the flurry of interest here recently in those anneuing mics.
