Yeah well under sounds2sounds the site you guys adviced me the mic has a good review..but they said that the mesh reflect thing you get with it doesnt make a different to using the pop filter if a right

reflection filter and pop filter are two different things.
One stops plosives from overloading the mic, "(like joey in friends "Pick up the Picture!!') and the other helps to reduce reflections from the walls in your room.

Because an untreated room gives you a hollow, boxy sound that is quite unpleasant.

Hi I cancelled the transaction for the mic and I understand what your saying.
Your right £50 but the bidding still has alot of time to end so the price may increase.
I do feel as I'm recording in dorm rooms that I will definetely require the reflection unit and package that bobbsy stated. However after much thought my friend told me to be very careful with audio interfaces off eBay as he said alot of them brake after a while etc. So Ive decided to go for the £299 package due to the fact I get a guarantee with the item and its brand new. I also spoke with the seller of it Absoulete Music and he told me its a very good software and item to use..he said and I quote 'if you pay pro prices £299 your going to get a pro results' so..I'm feeling to go towards this one.
As Ive looked into the reflection filters seperately and they are quite expensive.
I also think in my mums old garage she has a maplins universla mic stand am hoping to find so theyll be no need for me to purchase a new one.On top of that the sale of other stuff on ebay should give me at least £150 in paypal. The other £150 i can chip in..this way am getting a brand new unit if u understand me?

This is true. If you want the filter then the package is probably the way to go.

WellI agree guys. My friend isnt a expert but he knows alot about music. And I mean if I buy from ebay and the itme brakes i have no guarantee really also its the re-sale value too. I mean I know Ill lose alot anyway when something goes from new to second hand..but I just feel id be safer and feel better knowing ive bought first hand and theres a higher guarantee from both the store and the manufacturer.
And I agree the store is going to say that but in fairness..he did also say you require a skilled engineer. And I think from what Ive read of reviews the mic seems suitable for what I want to do and the price is fair for what am looking for.
I would go for buying the mic second hand but the prices are so close to the RF Bundle i just think why not get it new for a few extra quid.ANd I really would prefer to get the reflection filter as Ive never had one before but I think Bobbsy recommended it'd be good for a small room. Now I looked into it and thats very true.
So am just thinking to go with this kit for £300 as its everything sorted really..that I need..and you know if it I find its crap and not what I want it'll be in nearly new condition and I can re-sell and look for something else..my 2cents anyway..Unless u guys got something else to recommend for that price ?

Well here's the thing, resale value probably isn't that big a deal IF you go on and keep recording because everyone that does ends up with a mic locker of bunches of mics. I'm not even primarily a recordist (more of a live player) and I have , lemmee see .....13! holy cow! 
Actually I was a little surprised I have that many.
Anyway ...... this is stuff that you'll always have a use for.

I think you are on the right track now man. You are quite well spoken and ask a shit ton of questions. I must say I started to get annoyed by your haphazardness, but then I remembered how anxious and exited I was when I first started recording. I had a ton of questions as well. Just know that your own experience, once you have it, will direct you to what you need/want in the future. Our recommendations or advice are based upon our personal experiences. Your opinion will most likely be different. You just need to get the chance to form one. 1st step to that is about to happen. Enjoy man.

If you buy the XLR mic, your gonna have to go pick up 48vphantom power box to power the mic, which you can find for atleast 40 bucks...The USB mic..might be your best bet to keep the over head cost down..But soon your gonna wanna EQ your mic before it enters the signal chain..And then people are gonna tell you to buy a (cheap) small mixer. And it's then you will retire your USB mic and go for the XLR and mixer..

Except the Focusrite Saffire 6 in the bundled deal DOES have phantom power.
But TwizzyNYC (except you're from North Carolina) you've given bad advice. You do NOT want to EQ the mic before it enters the signal chain when you're recording. Live performances, yes, but not recording.

Hi guys uh thanks LOL a think.
Well I've decided to do this. I'm going to go for SE X1 Mic..because of recommendation from other artists..good reviews..and also the fact out of alot of the mics ive seen I think its the best value for money..and with XLR like you said next year etc if I want I can upgrade.
But I agree maybe £299 is a bit to spend..I could pick up the £189 bundle and spend another £62 get the m-track audio pro off ebay. So I'm going to try and do that..save £50..but ive told myself that when the bidding gets near to me spending a total of £300..thats when ill just leave the item and go for the £299 package as theirs no point picking it up second hand and paying equal to what I could for the entire package new..and alot of the audio interfaces from ebay have a no returns policy..at least new I have some sort of legal UK Consumer law cooling off period.

You don't seem to be getting the answers you're after. I'll have a go.
Firstly, if your Samson mic sounded bad, I would but it down to something else rather than the mic. I've done band recordings with the simplest and cheapest gear and they work, so crackles and low quality point to either a defective mic or something wrong in your Windows setup that is interfering with the USB and timing. Bono from U2 sings in the studio through an SM58 dynamic mic - inexpensive (although most likely through some really good preamps and desk). I can take a $100 product and make a good recording. So check all your setups and check the mic on another machine before you spend $$$
That said, I'm not a fan of USB mic as they are tied to that interface, but if you move from USB you need a pre-amp to bring the mic signal up to recording level (which your USB mic has built in). If you go mic and pre-amp then you can upgrade or exchange either as your needs progress.
First answer how many mic inputs you'll need, if it will only ever be you, then 1 is fine and that makes your pre cheaper. I'm in Australia, so I'm not sure of your local prices, but a single input pre would be from about $100 here. Then pick a mic that you like the sound of, the SM58 I mentioned above is $150, a Rode NT1a about $300. Personally I don't like the Nt1a and prefer SE Electronics. There's tons to choose from.
Sort any technical interface issues or defective product you might have first.

I totally agree with what your saying. I mean it was the samson co1 I had alot of problems with but as I purchased it new I got a return. It just was always recording very low etc.
But the Samson G-Track USB Mic- it was the best investment I ever made really.
Not only on my laptop on Windows 7 did it produce good quality recordings but as I stated before my friend uses it on his Windows Vista Computer and the recordings are really good. And again as I stated before I made a Samson X7 Cheap £30 microphone sound amazing using editing.
However I notice with these mics transferring them onto phones etc and other media they sound unpro even though mastering etc has been done.
I also feel that they still dont have a professional sound and really in honesty I'm still keeping my G-Track because Im that happy with it..I've just sold the Samson Q7* as I wasnt happy witht hat but I got a good price for it.
