Hi, Greetings from India !

I'm Nikhil and have been playing bass for 8 years now. While I've been in bands which focused on original music, we never really got around to recording any of it properly. The best clips we had were from direct recording into laptops through the mixer during live shows.

I'm not playing much with others these days due to work constraints but have started composing some interesting stuff on my own. And have taken the bold decision to get into home recording.

Looking forward to many hours spent on this forum learning stuff !

I'm franknzapa and am new to the do it yourself recording space. I'm a drummer and have done studio work, but always with an engineer that did all of the slave work.. Now I am trying my hand at it and realize that there is a crapload to learn...but I'm willin to give it a shot...
Looking fowrward to the collective expertise on the forum. thx

Howdy, I'm David!

I've been a looong time lurker of these forums. I actually forgot I had an account until I attempted to register again today. I've gotten quite a lot out of the forums and I look very much forward to becoming a more active member. I'm a hobby songwriter and am in the process of converting the guest room of our new home into a project studio. Although I've been recording and mixing for about a decade now, I still consider myself to be a novice. That said, I have plenty of experience to share and hopefully help others. That's what it's all about, right?

Hey all, rog951 here. Looks like I signed up way back in '02 but never got around to posting much. I moved into a new house back around that time and my little home studio was boxed-up when life happened: marriage, kid, etc. So, 10+ years later I'm finally getting stabilized and wanting to get writing and recording again. I've been poking around on a few other sites as well, but you guys seem to be just about my speed (no offense! ;) ). I'm sure I'll have loads of dumb questions for y'all, so "thanks" and "sorry" in advance!

Yo,

My name is Emilien I'm 22yo. I'm French and I use FL Studio since 1 year.

I'm also a bassplayer since 5 years and I have a french indie band called Plastic Riot.
But since some months I spend most of the time on FL Studio, some artists and producers (Jamie XX, Nicolas Jaar, The Haxan Cloak, Kanye West, Gesaffelstein, 40 (Drake), Mike Will Made It, Hudson Mohawke, Therapy Music... for instance) gave me passion to create music alone, instead of to create it with a band.

I've made mostly trap beats but these days I'm more in a "ambient" vibe.
In general I love dark music (like new wave)

Anyway, see you soon !

Hi...I'm Ace Tone (named after my oldest amp). I've been a guitar player in a bar band for many years. I own the PA and some recording gear. As I'm sure you all know...owning a PA doesn't make you a good sound man...and knowing how to press record doesn't make you an audio engineer. However, I'm trying to figure it all out...and I think this forum will help.

Hello to everyone out there. I am Manue. I am a guitar player and I am currently playing for a metal band based in Mumbai, India, which is my home. I am keen to learn the aesthetics of recording and mixing which brought me to this forum and I am sure the experience is going to be a gainful one. Cheers \m/

Hi. I'm Bob and I started collecting tape recorders and can't stop. Fixing them and listening to tapes I made in the past and recently is fun.

Hi everyone. Ed's the name.

I've been introduced to music world very early my childhood, but I really got into it not so long ago, when I discovered that I can produce music on my PC. I hope to find lots of usefull information here :)

Hello everyone, I'm Al.

I've been here a lot over the past few years getting information, today I thought it was about time to sign up.

I've been playing guitar for around sixteen years, bagpipes for twenty years, and I've been mucking around with recording four about eight years. In the last twelve months I decided to get serious and start building a studio.

I'm hoping to learn a lot here and hopefully share some knowledge that I have.

Al.

Hey guys, Dertodesking here. Just wanted to introduce myself. HomeRecording already helped me a bunch before being a membre. Can't wait to start asking questions of my own. Cheers!!!!

I am Fatsanawo from some some electrified jungles of Africa. I like music and now in the process of building a home studio. The forum seems promising!

Eric...I want to make some decent recordings in my bedroom. Acoustic guitar and vocals mostly.

Hello everyone from Texas.

I just love to sing Karaoke...and here i am looking for help to sing on Paltalk with my existing rig.

Thank you all.

New here. Hoping to learn about recording in my living room. I play nylon string guitar.

Hi, folks; I'm Rick, a complete newbie to sound recording. I recently bought a microphone and Tascam recorder to get better audio when shooting video on my camera and then started wondering how I could use those to record the audio for an instructional video for my camera club. Several hundred dollars later, the audio doesn't sound quite so bad, but I really still have no clue what I'm doing and I'd really like to learn.

Hi. I'm Patrick Bryant. I was the lead guitarist with the U.S. Navy's Atlantic Fleet rock band 'way back in the day. After a long career in the banking and business software arenas I'm looking to re-educate myself on current music software and technology. My goal is to set up a home studio and create backing tracks for myself as a one-person live music act. I apologize for the long intro.
All the best,
gpb

Hey, I'm CDsax. I'm a young aspiring musician (and a Sax player if you haven't guessed) I'm starting up a Blues/Funk/EveryThingElse/AndALittleInBetween band. And I'll be learning through this forum to get a grasp of what in the world I'm to need to get myself going.

Hey!
I'm Scott and I am a new member. Started playing again after some time off. (editing meant razor blades and grease pencils) I'm having a blast remembering how much I love this thing we do. I'm a child of the sixties, and am living proof that rock and roll keeps you young.
Cheers!
