A Few Replies:
Ree Fungorio: Our guitarist uses the POD live and it sounds great. We play cover gigs at clubs with ~200 people. The versatility of the POD is what sold us on using it live. Since trying one out, we have NEVER used regular guitar amps since.
Hixmix: I haven't heard any noise problems even when using it for computer based recording. If in doubt, visit Guitar Satan and try it out. For the minimal bones it costs, it's hard to pass up, but when you play through it for a half an hour, it's amazing anyone passes it up!
I am a bass player and use the POD for recording only. (you gotta hear the bass tone using the British Crunch amp clean!)Obviously, when I heard they're coming out with the bass POD I...well, let's say I made a bit of a mess.
