I've finnaly gotten to the point that I can get a decent kick drum sound. My only issue is that, and this at times is apparent with commercial CD 's, when I get the level up past say 16 on my CD player in my truck, the kick is more of a distorted thud. Now 16 is not really loud but a medium level to listen to. You can just about talk over it. As I said this is also apparent on store bought CD's. Is it my car system??? Is it the way the kick was recorded, mixed, freq's??Some will just kick ass with tons of punch, others thud/crackel. I'm kind of thinking it is my speakers. Maybe each kick has a different frequency? These CD's will sound fine in my home and studio setup. Thoughts,Jim
