I love the temporary double kick patterns (as opposed to 'all-the-way-through')

The aggressive vocals suit you well. I love it when you scream ([lamejoke]that's exactly what my wife said last night, mwahahahaha[/lamejoke] :) )

OK, I know what's bothering me about the parlando:

The way you sing 'hate you or leave you' in the parlando sounds like you're laughing (you had fun recording it, don't ya?) Anyway, I'd love to hear more hate there. The melody on 'dominating' is kinda foggy...like you're searching for it. If you could tighten that up, the parlando is OK with me!

Hell, I love that solo (is that a scream ánd a whammed up guitar that's opening or just the whammed up guitar?). Makes the metal blood run through my veins. Shit, it even makes me feel sentimental. Do I insult you if I say Yngwie? I listened to loooooooooads of Yngwie when I was 13. Still like it. And I like this.

Is this a real bass, btw?

The rest rocks, as usual.

Hey Ped. That section "Nothing will ever make me hate you or leave you alone" is meant to be sarcastic. They're scratch takes that are up for possible re-tracking. IOW, they're waiting for someone to say they suck. I know what I was going for, but that can be very different than what comes out. So I'll probably do something with that.

I listened to a lot of Yngwie in high school...counter balanced it with some Gilmore. :)

Is this a real bass, btw?

depends on whether you consider a $200 Epiphone a real bass. :( (I accept personal checks.)

The vocal EQ adjustment is up. I cut a little 250-300Hz out.

If you were my neighbour you could have my Fender Precision as an eternal loaner (it that the right word?)...hell, if you were my neighbour I'd come over with my Pedulla's LOL :D

Sarcasm, that's the word. Sing it with more sarcasm and I'm a happy puppy! :)

If you listened to Yngwie in highschool I couldn't have been 13. 16 is more likely (you're 29 too right?)...

Listening now. Gotta make this quick. Sorry.

Not my style (usually), but it did not matter. Very cool.

I liked the parlando (Yes, I looked it up too. It is a little disconcerning when someone from another country has a better English vocabulary than you :) )

Listening again. I really like so much of this. The only complaint I have is the first chorus/singing part. I wanted more definition there.

The attitude is nice!

Song is growing on me even more. Can't say much more. Gotta run. Great job.....again!

Thanks a lot skids. Glad you stuck it out!

Ped, ya it would make more sense for you to just come over and play. :)

Ya I was 16 when I started listen to Yngwie- 1990. Some kids in my music appreciation class were into him. Between him and Randy Rhoads I sensed I had a lot to learn in terms of finger strength. Those guys ripped. But it wasn't just shred, at least not for Randy. Yngwie had some cool feel and groove sometimes, but a lot of it was redundant IMO. Randy ripped with soul! :D

LOL Canopus- It was the terrible dialogue that seemed to be written and acted out by 2-year-olds that drove me nuts.

Alright, I gotta get out of this "Live Chat" mode guys. Gonna go hit a stream somewhere.

Peace!

HA! I thought Ped was speaking Spanish.

Ah... I believe that's an improvement with the vox. I think I *still* might bring them up just a cunt hair, but I realize I always like vox louder than most people, so pay no attention to that.

Rippin' tune.

Chris

SLuiCe......love the tune, as per usuall!!!!! I'm just not qualified to even try to comment on your mixing. Iv'e listened to your other tune's in here the past week or so, I'll just say that they are for my pure enjoyment! i haven't commented much on anything lately because i'm a duck out of water, and you guy's are freakin deep sea diving!:D But i"ve had all i can stand's, i can't stand's no more!!!!! this is the first time i think i have a nit pick with your sonic's......you ready for it?............no seriously?........quit laughing, i really have something to say!

Where's the kick?.......that was freakin brilliant, eh?:D

Thank's for another keeper, bro!!!!!!

Peace

Rick

"hit a stream somewhere" Damn that sound's NICE!!!!!!!!!!

OK I brought the kick up a lot...lemme know if it's right! Thanks.

I'm really out the door this time. Cya.

I thought the kick sound was a little too soft. Not soft like quiet, but soft like a pillow. I dug the rest. Nice guitar work!

Holy Time warp! I completely missed reading the entire second page before I commented! Never mind me, I'll try to keep up!

Hhhmmm....

Nice mix.

As per usual, I don't like your choice of kick and snare... (so what's new? ;) :) )

I dunno... I'm just thinkin' that with a thicker (less "mechanical") kick those double bass sections (which I like, btw) would just kick you right in the chest, instead of just kinda "bein' there".

I thought the main vox could be up a tiny bit. (not the harmonies) Especially at the angry yelling part... I'd want that to be right up in my face. The guitars tend to envelope the vox a bit much.

But those, I reckon, are pretty freakin' minor nit-picks. Over-all this is a really good recording...

(for a home recording, that is.... :D lol... ok.. I'll shut up now. :p)

Exactly...

Btw, this is the perfect thread IMO. Honest but nice. And silly and fun. I love it.

I liked the intro gtr by far the best. The vocals I was medium on...kinda montonish for me. The gtrs and vocals all seem to be having a slugfest for the same area. The lead solo kicks butt but is placed "backwards" in the mix...like the guy is standing 10 ft behind the band. I loved the dbl kick and could take some more volume on the kick too...even more than you added.

on a 2nd listen, I am thinking maybe the gtrs are a little too loud overall, and the vocals would cut thru a little better with them lower in volume.

kinda took a left turn on this one, eh??!! very nice.
