New compressor recomendations

Hi, I have never had an outboard compressor before and i am looking to purchase one...Here are my needs...I want factory presets because i still getting the hang of it...i need the presets for drums, guitar, vocals, and so on... I know most compressors are used in the middle of the signle chain...but is there any one out there that can be used as an insert effect??? please if you have any recomendations for an easy to use compressor under $300 then please help me out...i was looking at these below?

easy to use compressor under $300

DBX 160x or 160xt or 160a. They are all basically the same (although some say they sound different) and are VERY simple to use (only three knobs). It's a fantastic compressor for bass, drums, vox, etc, however they do not come with presets.

Those two are great at that price as is the tc electronics c300, that one has presets and the ability to mix those presets with the original signal

The Symetrix 525 is easy to use, great sounding, and can be had on ebay for under $100.
