Well, I just bought some cans... but don't worry, it won't take that long before they get broken and I order some MoreMe cans from you. :)

And please let me know when you have the headphone extension cables for sale. Thanks

It looks like I've found some good ones at a good price!! They're sending me some samples that should be here by the end of the week. Right now, they sell them in two lengths: 20 foot and 25 foot. I can't get them at a super great price unless I buy 250 of each at a time.

Right now in small quantities, I'll hafta sell them for about 5 or 6 bucks for the 20 footer, and 6 or $7 for the 25 footer. That's still better than Radio Shack's cable, about the lowest price I've found for a usable cable (almost $9 for their 20 foot cable, by the time you add sales tax).

Shipping them separately will probably be around a buck for airmail, but only 15 cents for shipping if you buy it with a set of MoreMe headphones, since it'll go in under the 1 pound weight limit. I won't know the actual final shipping costs till I get them in and see what they weigh.

The question is: Is it worth it for me to buy $500 worth of these things? That's the minimum opening order, and it doesn't even trigger their first price break. I can get the 25 foot cables now; they won't have any more of the 20 footers till July.

So how many would each of you buy at those prices? Will it take me a year to just get my money back, let alone make a profit?

Ill take 3 when your ready, and as much as people check in here to get your advice, they should be picking up some as well. Im sure that everyone can use a Headphone extension.

dont put too much into buying a bulk of them yet Harvey until you get some responses. But I will prepay if thats needed. and if you do not forsee as decent profit within a reasonable amout of time. I persoanlly wouldn't fool with it. You do enough already !

Keep us posted.

I only have the one MoreMe, so that's just one for me.

Unless, does the extension come with in 1/8" plug with 1/4" adapter, harvey. Cuz I have a second headphone set that I plug into my sound card (1/8"). If so, I'll be ordering 2.

I haven't seen them yet, but I think they're just 1/4" connectors at both ends.

Hey Harvey - are the extension cords straight or coiled? I hate coiled! If they're straight I'll order a couple and a couple of headphones too. If not, I'll still order the headphones anyhow.

DD

They're straight, of course. Coiled cords are the work of the devil.

I'm good for two extensions and another set of cans - think we can stay under that 1 lb limit? :D

I'll know in a few days when some of the sample cords come in.

Bump

Don't want this to fall off before Harvey gets the extension cords in.

Hell yeah, I'll take 3. (I broke down and bought two from radio shack already a month ago.)

Got my new Headphone amp the other day.

Bump

Stick Please !!

I'm still waiting on the samples of headphone extension cables. I thought I found a killer deal today for everybody from Musician's Friend on 25' Cable Up headphone extension cables. They're selling them on special for under $5 - a killer price. So I went to see what they charged for shipping. Whoa !!!

If you buy two cables, it'll run you almost $13 extra (for 2 day shipping).

So, your 2 cables for $10 wind up costing $23, when you add shipping. Damn, I hate that kinda shit. The post office will ship those suckers to anywhere in the US in two days, for less than $4, and Musician's Friend wants an extra $9 for the same service? Screw that!

On a slightly sour related note, the "MoreMe" headphone orders have completely dried up, so I guess I'll end up with enough headphones to outfit our studio for life, plus I'll have enough extra headphones to handle warranty repairs (on the phones I did sell) for the next ten years.

Oh well, mark this one down as another "It seemed like a good idea at the time." proposition. Won't be the first time, won't be the last. :(

I wouldn't give up on the MoreMe headphones yet... every business has it's up's and down's. Just advertise more and hang in there.

Dont Worry Harvey,
We will put the word out on other sites.
I noticed someone on another site was getting ready to review your headphones, could mean a boost in sales.

Don't despair yet Harvey! :D I'm down for a set of those headphones! I was just waiting on the extensions before I place an order, because the headphones aren't really useful to me without an extension. I guess I could always go the Radio Slack route (bracing for the hit), but I agree that their $8 extensions are a rip off!

Boy, I hope you have some left when I get my sh*t together and get a money order.
