Thanks, I built it from scratch. I bought everything off eBay (except the paint, the primer came from Home Depot the Red lacquer from Auto Zone) the neck and body came from upstate NY, everything else from China. It just sold on eBay, Reverb made me take it down for copyright infringement which I'm totally cool with.( I'm not planning to go into business selling knock-off Fenders). I just have too many guitars and wanted to get my money out of it. I laid out $240.00 to build it and it sold for $300.00 plus $25.00 shipping.Very nice! What was involved here? Is it a finished kit for assembly or was there more to it than that?
Would love to see some pics of the process, if you have them.
Thanks for sharing.
Hah that's definitely bold, especially an acoustic !. Hope I get to see it. Should be fun whatever the result .Cool stuff! Well done.
I was curious because I started making an acoustic guitar recently but I'm doing everything from scratch - Starting with lumps of wood.
I'm starting to think I bit of more than I can chew!
IDK I bought it on eBay I don't think they're anything special. I did level and polish them. I also scraped the poly off and rubbed some burnt umber acrylic in spots to give it a unique look. then oiled it with linseed.Hey PDP, I was looking at the neck on that thing, and was wondering if it had the gold Jescar EVO wire frets. The neck looks really good.
