I listened to massacre because there was Cowboy in the title.
You should always list the title of the song you want people to focus on.
What kind of bass is that I'm hearing???
You could use more of that slide thing goin on.
I think your voice suits this material. It's quite good actually.

The bass is a sample triggered from my keyboard. No stand up bass and this song just had to have that sound.

I thought the same thing with the slide work, just had to step away from this for a while. Then I'll add it.

OK so the singing is out of tune. That is more of a problem for me than the kick. For the kick though, you should not need to buy any additional equipment to get a good sound.

The mics on Two Rings were a Shure beta 52 at the hole and a 57 laying on a pillow on the inside. On Virginia, it is just the Beta 52 at the hole.

No eq or compression on virginia, a little eq and compression on the 57 on two rings.

Certainly not the worlds best recordings, but I would guess that kick sound is in the ball park for what you are trying for.

the screamin kitchen to wake? You title isn't in the song? With the amount of words, I need a higher tempo, not a lot just a little. Good production, nice sounds, clean and clear. I second the vote for more slide thing.
