I had dialup for a yr when I came here. If its a long tune it does take time to up load to a website or to a place like nowhereradio.com (which of course I recommend). Lets use that one for instance and from familiarity,
How do you sign up?
on the home page at Nowhereradio on the left side of the page there is an option called "sign up". Click it, "select musicians signup" and fill out the information asked of you "a username and password, email address". If you provide false email information the account will be invalidated. After you sign up you will be sent an email. Follow the directions in the email to back to the site and "log in". Thats about it..
You will be able to setup and edit any information about yourself after log in, upload songs, delete songs, by clicking "Artist Administration" on the upper right side of the page.
Using 56k is not that bad really. A 4 to 5 meg mp3 tune could take about 45 minutes. That gives you time to go make a sandwich, run up the store for a pack of smokes, or take a bath or something. After you upload a tune you enter the information about the tune that you want displayed when someone sees the name of the tune posted.
Hope that helps..
