Iknow.... I know! My username probably should've been "Rushsuperfreak" instead of Rushfan33. I'm the same way with basses. I'm a drummer for about 20 years now but I recently got the "bass bug" I now have about 6 basses and I want to get the Geddy bass pretty soon. I won't pay $31,000 though! :D

Who touched the tamborine head?

I have a tamborine head that was actually beat on by either Roger Daltry, Pete Townsend, John Entwistle or Keith Moon. I'm not sure which. But, one of them actually touched this tamborine head. The heads on those drums have probably been changed a number of times so Neil didn't actually directly beat on anything that someone paid 31,000 for. What am I bid for the tamborine head? Should I put it on Ebay?

I think its the fact that its the prototype of the artstar series that makes it special and historic, after all this is not Bonham were talking about here. Im sure that Pert had a few kits along the way.

No, its Neal Fucking Peart, not Bonham. The major diety of drummers. If I had it, I would by it, and I'm not even a drummer. I wouldn't pay half of that for one of Bonhams....not that I have anything against Bonham...

I would think for $30,000 you could get Rush to play at your birthday party nowadays.

Juding from the massive crowd that paid 75 bucks a pop in dallas to see them a couple of weeks back, I dont think so.

You guys are killing me here...... This thread sat dormant for days and then today, it gets all this action. I'm rying to forget the fact that I can't see Rush tonight (or tomorrow night). When I finally forget, I notice a reply to the thread and read them. I get all fired up and then I get all teary eyed and start to whine!;)

It's fucking awesome to know that Neil, Alex and Geddy are merley 5 miles away from me right now.

It was an great show in Dallas. I wasnt going to get to go, then a friend called me up and told me she had two tickets to rush, and couldnt go, and asked if I wanted them? $150 bucks worth of tickets and she just gave em to me. She even tried to give me money to get her a shirt, but I told her I could spring for that.
