I know this is like the never-ending story, many always make this question here so I hope you don't mind much if I take my chance now. Hence, I would much appreciate your help:

I've been using KHL L853B hi-fi speakers (laugh all you want :D ) thus far, I think they are fairly decent (and you'd really laugh now if I told you how much I paid for them). But I think it's time for the real thing. Please take a look and give me some good advice.

Peace.

Yo Gus of FM and AM:

If you are going for the KRK's, get the 8 inch woofer rather than the six inch woofer.

Better sound.

I have the KRK ST8 passives. Looks like you want actives. Fine. But get the bigger speaker.

Lots of good buys on higher level monitors these days--you might want to look around.

If you can get to play your own CD or tape and listen at a vendor's store, then you ears can decide.

I just hooked up a pair of the Wharfedale's this morning!Difficult for me to say how good they are,as I was using boom box speakers before!I will say that the stereo field is far more pronounced and I'm hearing the little noises in quiet spots that I never would have heard before.I like what I hear so far.
