I bought a 69' fender mustang (not a reissue) for like five hundred dollars. but the problem is the body has this terrible repainting of white on it. It is completely terrible. I went to the local guitar shop and they said that the original colour might be underneath and that we should sand some off. well i did that and the color wasnt. There so now i have been googling repainting services. there was only one and it was 200 hundred dollars  . so im here asking if any of you know of a place where i can get the guitar restored to seafoam with the same quality as a guitar direct out of the factory. THanks.

Obviously, this is the wrong forum.
Obviously. But if diogo can get away with a post all about his search for a shoegazing jazz bass clone, why can't Elmo89m hold forth about his Mustang? I mean, fair is fair after all...

Save some money, have fun, and do it yourself!

Refinishing a guitar body like your Mustang is pretty easy to do... why not do it yourself? Here's a link to a company that sells all the finish materials (including the original seafoam color) for pretty reasonable prices :

http://www.reranch.com/

They also have the refinishing instructions posted at their site, along with lots of photos of guitars refinished with their stuff.
