Need Monitors under $500

Pretty much nobody sells those Yorkville monitors, and the few who do sell it won't ship to Canada. And if I want these monitors soon, I need to go with AMS because of the Easy Pay option. I hate saving up...

So I've narrowed it down to either the Event TR6, or the Alesis Monitor 1 Active.
What do we think of the Alesis? It has better bass frequency response than the Event... if that matters...

Umm... Yorkville is a Canadian company... those monitors are MADE IN CANADA.
They are available at basically every music shop in the country, especially Long & McQuade. I just got a L+M Christmas flyer in the mail, they have them on for $680 CDN, which is a damn good deal especially since I got mine for around $900 a couple years ago.
The YSM1p's are the best out of all the monitors listed here, no joke. Just use your ears.
 
Hey, thanks for that info!

My local Long and McQuade (Regina) is a nightmare - they have a really small selection (which is never anything I want), and it's way cheaper to order from the States than to get them to special order for me, so I've gotten out of the habit of shopping there at all. :(

But I will have to check into their Yorkville monitors...
