Need mixing advice (rock/alternative)

Even though I love reverb, there's times where the mix just sort of gets hard to understand (especially vocals) due to over active reverb. Cool overall tune that has a good vibe.

I finally got back to the studio and worked some more on the mix, taking everybody's advice into account. The major changes I made are:

- Brought guitar levels down during the heavier parts, so that they are audible but not overpowering
- The verse guitar was barely poking through the mix, so I added some compression to reduce the peaks and then raised the levels a bit (hopefully not too much)
- Reduced level of slide guitar during the bridge, because it was overpowering the rhythm section

- Brought bass levels up to match the vocals and kick, now the bass line should be clear throughout the whole song

- Cut lows from the vocals and added a slight high shelf for more presence
- Added subtle distortion in a few places (mixed it in with the clean signal)
- Reduced frequency range of the reverb, cutting some lows and mids

- Added compression with slow attack to snare and kick to make them more exciting
- Added saturation and EQ to snare, trying to make it sound more "alive"
- Raised levels on cymbals and hihat, brought the hihat closer to center
- Raised level of drum buss a bit

Thanks everyone for the help!

Nothing to add that has not been said. I like the effort. The best part of mixing is that you can always come up with those little tweaks that can bring a song to the level you want. Keep experimenting and get some feedback like you are doing. Good job

Very nice tune, I liked it. Thoroughly entertained. Thanks for sharing.
