Need help with 'VU Bulbs'

Does anyone know where I can get some replacement VU meter bulbs for a Studer A80 MKIV?

The only ones I've been able to find so far are on Ebay for about $15 for 4 bulbs (with addition of shipping costs of another $15!) - so that's basically about $30 for 4 bulbs!!

(I think these are being shipped from Germany as well.)

So does anyone know where you can get these & a bit 'cheaper' as well? (and from the U.S. would be nice:)

Do you know what the voltage is?

If they are 12V (and I know the meter amp runs on a 12V rail...couldn't find the lamps during my quick perusal of the schematics) then you may be in luck with these lamps at Parts Express...couple different amperage ratings so you may need to get one of each to match luminescence, but get out your tape measure and see if they are the same size (0.4" x 1"). They are only $1.09 each, less for quantities of 10 or more.

Well...incandescent is more...um...analog. Yes I'm being wierd. :rolleyes:
