I have a fostex a8 and I bought ir from a guy who hasn’t used it in 15+ years but it was in perfect condition when i got it! I ran it for about 4-5 times and now I can’t playback or record for more than a millisecond
I opened it up and saw that the capistan barely moves and only if i give it a push by twisting it in motion with my fingers and that’s BARELY any movement. Like it moves really slow! Some guy who repairs stuff in my area said I need to grease it up but where should i apply it and where? I got some sewing machine oil and isopropyl!
Or is it the C47-c48? I really need some guidance!
And I am dumb so have mercy on me if this sounds Ike basic 101 shit!
