Need Help With my Boss BR-1180

My machine is stuck and reads the following.

MIDI UPDATER
Did Bersion: VER. 2.00 (Sep 30 2002)
Waiting SMF...

This has been on there for an hr. now. Does anyone know what I can do to correct this or what I need to do.

Sorry I didn't see your post yesterday, hopefully by now you've tried unplugging the unit & restarting it. I've never seen that particular message on my BR-1180, but my unit has frozen from time to time, usually when doing punch-ins. I suggest you join the Yahoo owners group for a good source of info on this unit.

Are you syncing your BR-1180 to other gear via MIDI? Because that's what this message looks like to me. It could be waiting for a start message from whatever you're using as your MIDI master, although I wasn't aware that the BR-1180 would operate as a slave unit.
