Need help With Ghost

Hello Guys Listen I'm Almost finished with my Studio. a friend of mine is a carpenter and has his own shop so he's gonna be building a desk for me (for a fee af course)

i want it to be for a Soundcraft Ghost With midi automation. and was wondering if any of you guys have seen any pictures of desks specially made fo my type of mixing board. i already saw the omnirax synergy, but it's kinda pricey. i also like the design of this one http://www.kkaudio.com/xbusbasic.html
but i need to find out the inclination angle of my ghost so it can be applied to this any ideas?
or any other desk designs?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's a sharp looking desk

was it hard to make? was it expensive?

I actually took an old desk, took the top and back off, built a much wider top and back for it out of Birch Plywood, and just polyurethaned it. All because I went mixerless.

Well, then plans changed and I got the ghost, so I made a shelf about 6 inches wider than the ghost and hung it from underneath by about 4 inches. I then cut a hole in the desk EXACTLY as wide as the ghost. The Ghost "countersinks" into the desk. Even standing next to it, pretty much everyone asks where I got such a thin mixing board (they don't realize it is nearly six inches deeper than it looks!
 
this is a design for a desk i recently built. basically designed on 4 19" rack widths and the desire to angle the mixers. for a wider mix board, you'd take out the middle divider. not sure what the dimensions on your board are but most seem to follow multiples of 19" racks... you could then either rack it or add something to lay it flat. the other considerations in this design were have 4U of racks across the top for patch bays and effects, and 2 iso-cabinets below for recorders and PC. on wheels so moving is easy... seems to be similar to the x-studio design but is entirely my own.

its built using 15/32" finished plywood and has interlocking parts to increase rigidity and keep weight down. cost me about $500 in parts total (lowes, local hardware, and Amazon) and took me about 30 hours to cut and assemble (glue and screw) and finish (I used a gray stain but you could use what ever works).

I have the design in Sketchup (free from sketchup.google.com) and you can pull it apart to get the dimensions (about 79"W 36"D 16"H (desk) 21"W 24"D 23"H (cabinet) - puts the lip of the desk around 26"H). make a copy of each part onto a 4x8 sheet of plywood.

i did a quick check - the 24 channel Ghost mixer is 41" wide so you'd have to expand the mid-section on my desk by 4" to leave 2 19" racks on each side.

Thanx Gollfo that sketch looks really nice i would love to get something like that.
 
You could make a really nice one for less then $500. A simple one for $100. Plan on spending around $2000 for a new manufactured desk.
