hi everyone,
here is it ... everytime i've been in studio to record i always have been disapointed ... so i decided to record myself !! and biuld my 'kind' of home studio ...
i'm a blues player , kind of mississippi electrified blues but with some 60s/70s influences ...
here's modern stuff i like :
www.myspace.com/theblackkeys
www.myspace.com/aabondy
www.myspace.com/juniorkimbrough
and for sure any kind of john lee hooker, chess , stax, atlantic stuff ...
here what i have :
mac + pro tools
the t bone mics + shure sm 58
m audio fast track ultra 8r (sound card)
esi near 5 (monitoring)
fostex R8 (tape recorder)
my goal would be to have a 8 track recorder , to record my band : guitar/harp/drums
i'd like to know what i need more and what i need first ??? console, preamp, ??
i tell again that i like the 'old sound' , which for me is more 'warm' 'sing to my ear' don't know how to say it ...
really hope you can take sometime and help a beginner ...
thanx !!
