Need help getting started

ok my band and i will be looking into recording ourselves shortly and i just want to make sure i have the basics first as to what all i will need. so heres a list of what i already know i'll need so just fill me in on the rest or suggestions for specific equipment that you've found to be of good quality thank you

Drum mics
kick mic
snare mic (top and bottom)
tom mics
overhead mics

Vocals
Condensor mic

Computer
(in this case a macbook) with an extra external harddrive

Software
(m-powered pro tools)

Audio interface
(M-audio fast track usb 2.0)

Alright

You basically have everything down. You should get/make a pop screen for the mic. I'd advise making one... It's a lot cheaper. Other than that, you should be fine.

How are you recording the guitar and bass?

thank you for the advice and i'm not quite sure which way i'm going to record the guitars and bass yet i might either use the tom mics to mic the amps or play raw into the software and use plug in effects afterwards
