A pair of my headphones broke, and all I have left are my MoreMe's. The left speaker is making a "fuzzy" kind of sound, almost like distortion when I play anything through them.

I just want a cheap, decent pair for use while tracking and making decent mic placement choices on acoustic guitar.

Budget is around $50.

I was looking at the Audio Technica ATH-T22s, T44s, and also the MX3s.

What would be my best option for what I'm doing considering my budget?

Thanks.

Edit: The noise in the MoreMe's seems to be gone now, don't know how. Moved them to a different spot in the room and they're working. But I still want another pair for tracking purposes.

Thanks again.

Spring for the ATH-M40fs. They're about $60-70 (check amazon & e-bay) and sound very good. Decent isolation and a very flat frequency response. Broadcast Supply Worldwide (www.bswusa.com) sells a 2-pack for $119 with free shipping.

If it turns out that the MoreMe headphones are bad, email me and I'll send you a new pair.

Thanks Harvey, that's nice to know. The headphones seem to be working fine now, maybe it had something to do with being next to a bunch of other equipment?

Thanks scrubs. I can't seem to find those for less than $100 except on eBay. I don't use eBay, so do you have any other suggestions? I don't really need professional/studio-quality, just something decent.

My old headphones were a pair from RadioShack that weren't great but they were good enough.

If not I may just order another pair of MoreMe's.

You might try the Sennheiser HD201 headphones; they're pretty cheap and very decent sounding, but they do get uncomfortable if you need to wear them for a long time.

Try Sony MDR-V150, $20 at Wal-Mart and you can take them back if you don't like them. Timboz and I really like ours.

Harvey has a great return/exchange policy on those MoreMe's, so I'm sure he'll take care of you.

The Audio Technicas seem to be going for about $70 everywhere, right now:

I have several brands, some listed within this thread. However, when my pair of headphones from Carvin broke, which was MY main set, I ordered another headphone from Carvin @ $49.00. Good bargin.

Thanks. I tried a search on both zzounds and Musician's Friend and for some reason it didn't turn up anything. I can stretch my budget another $20 so I may go with those.

I'd order another pair of MoreMe's but I think it's nice to have 2 different pairs for different things.

Thanks again.
