I am buying a Marshall TSL122 amp. It is a beautiful three channel amplifier. It has two effects loop that can be controlled by a foot switch. I hate stomp boxes and the inherant signal degredation. But I am a pretty "effects oriented" guitar player. I am looking for a good effects unit that can be patched into one of these effects loops. I will need chorus, reverb, tremelo, delay etc...

Any not too expensive tips would be great. Remember... versitility is much more important than pristine sound quality. It will only be used for live shows. I mean, I do not want some $50 piece of shit. But a $3,000 T.C. Electronics unit is too much.

Boss Gt-6 doesn`t like to bee in a loop, and the Digitech stuff tend to degrade the audio as much as many pedals....
Find a T.C G-Major, it`s pretty good and not too much $......

I gotta say digitech TSR-24, IF you can find one

Before the other Harmon Divisions screamed foul ( DBX, Eventide, Lexicon) Digitech was putting a few boxes out with "scaled down "tech from their sister companies and making a bang for the buck milestone...too bad it didnt make economic sense :(

one of the VERY FEW boxes to have true Harmonizing, as oppsoed to chromatic pitch shifting ( which it also had)

Plexi, why do you say the GT-6 doesn't like to be in a loop? I've never had a problem. What am I missing? To noisy? Grounding issues? Input/output impedance?

No, it`s just that a GT-6 is more a preamp/fx unit, made to be the front end of a rig, not sitting in a loop doing reverbs and delays......

And this guy was asking for a "really good" unit, and I do not think the GT-6 fits into that category.... it`s useful, but not that great chorus and reverb.....

OK, I understand what you're saying, but....

"versitility is much more important than pristine sound quality"

Depending on the budget, and how much versatility you're looking for, it is a good unit for $400.

Well, you`re right... For $400 it`s hard to beat the Boss.

But a $100 more will get him this , not so many fx, but quite a bit nicer sounding , to my ears....
