do you guys have any issues with streaming wav's directly from box?
just wondering.....

Ahh, couldn't get past 20 seconds. The vocals layers are annoying. I usually like your guys stuff.

streaming from box worked fine for me :)

im on crappy earbuds at the mo,they hurt like hell, how can anyone wear these torture instruments for longer than 5 minutes ???? an when i laugh it feels like im being lifted into the air via 2 large sticks stuffed in me ears ... imo all earbud wearers are into S&M weirdo nudey prod games ...

those vocals fuzzy was on about are a tad out (edit- in the first 20 seconds)... bout the only thing i heard ...

enjoyed that, gonna download and give it another spin :)

heh, you need some nice soft earbuds!

a tad out, hm, usually i'm fairly in tune with vocals, but the approach was intentional- to make it sound plaintive, sorrowful, almost painful...

i'll try another approach.

Yea, I think you are on the right path on the vocals, I could tell it was intentionally loose. Stay with the approach, but work out some of the approach (maybe try something like a around or opera approach, just for experimentation) but I do think you are going in a good direction.

Kick drum was pretty in your face, not boomy or bad, just BOOM! Interested to hear your future versions.

well, i guess my idea of ' mournful, loose elocution ' is more like brain electrocution.
LOL
yea, for some reason, this particular harmony (or at least the way i've presented it) seems to bug people.
i'm going to re-track the entire beginning section,
and try a single vocal approach, and a 3-part harmony approach....
one quiet and mellow, and one wailing.

the kick drum you are describing, is exactly what i was going after.
no flab, just some impact.
i'm tweaking that a little more, and adding more snap to the snare, bringing the toms down a bit,
and adding more of the room mics in.....

we'll see if that makes the drums give power, but not overwhelm.

thanks for listening and commenting!

Nope. I have to respectfully disagree with the previous comments. I cranked this up in my studio on all 3 sets of monitors--and it rocks! I think the vocal mix (loose elocution and all) works really well. And the kick drum was great!

glad to see somebody is cranking it!!
maybe it's just a translation thing...

wow, i don't know anybody that's cranking 3 sets of monitors, i mean, i've got my main monitors, a 2nd speaker set up for mono check (center speaker of a Klipsch surround set) and two sets of headphones, but 3!
that's cool to know, that it is translating there, i just think some folks don't have their monitors dialed in.
of course, they are listening to all the other stuff on em, so really, i just don't know what to think.

but glad you dig it
