Been nagging me for a couple weeks since I had bronchitis. Tender when I swallow and slight tenderness to the touch - on one side of the neck. Don't feel sick though...and can sing okay....
I have asthma and growing up with it was very unpleasant. It used to be so severe, but I have out grown this stage a lot. Anyway, I agree with bweston... Organic herbal tea and lemon slices will help.
Don't push it right now. I wouldn't try to sing too high or too loud or too long until you're 100%. Probably should do the vocal rest thing for a while. Coughing and hacking from bronchitis can take its toll on your vocal chords. Warm liquids more than anything will make you more comfortable.
just go ahead and cut your eq in the 2000khz range...obviously just kidding...just lay off singing until your better. I would slowly run scales at low velocity just to slowly build yourself back up instead of cracking your chords for good.
If it is still tender when you have not been singing, there's schmutz hanging around in there. Try gargling with salt water a couple of times a day - w/o swallowing it of course. Helps to pull the leftover bad juju out of the deeper throat tissues and is cheap as dirt. Well, it actually is dirt. Kinda high end dirt.
Not doing too bad but it's still there - but decreasing gradually. I'm okay with singing but it is kind of annoying. I thnk it's a mild virus or gunk as you say. Hopefully when the season chnages the fresh air will clear it up....
I feel your pain because I suffer with sinus too. This can be very annoying, especially when hearing my own singing on recording (karaoke) and sounding like I have a bad cold. How can one overcome this? I don't know!

Drink green tea on alternate days to black tea - each with some lemon & honey.
You shouldn't drink green tea daily - my Dr. said it's a ying & yang thing.
The green is very high in antioxidants which is cool BUT I trust this particular Dr: his prac.s is western medical quals based but he balanced that with accupuncture, accupressure, some herbals etc & treats THE WHOLE PERSON not just the symptoms - oh & he bulk billed - ( in oz that's using the govt. card that every citizen has - he'd just bill the govt - most other Dr's do the bulk bill but add an up front cash fee on top so they make more profit).
