[n00b!]building a home studio

Ok...I'm absolutely new with this... that is: I've been trying to build a home studio for approx. 3 years now...but I happen to have a constant lack of funds and knowledge so I'm still not very far:

- Yamaha Clavinova CLP115 digital Piano
- Technics KN550 Keyboard
- Yamaha RY10 drumcomputer
- Luxman amplifier (stereo)

...that's it! (not even speakers or anything - and no cables to connect things...)

What to do next??

I want to build a simple studio with a small budget. All i want to do at first is making music using the instruments I have now. No need to record anything to begin with...
I'm looking at a few affordable Behringer UB-mixers (ranging from 50 - 100 dollars) and I'm planning on buying an M-audio MIDI > USB 2x2 converter. (for future use when connecting to a PC for recording and additional FX and stuff).

Can anyone please please advice me on what to do, what to buy and what to NOT buy??Please remind that there's not a lot of money to be spend (unfortunately)....so 100's-of-dollars-solutions are no option...!

heres a nice starter set up for you. actually it will sound pretty pro if you hone up on engineering.
amd computer , 512 ram memory, 2 7200 rpm hard drives, monitor/mouse etc.
try a pair of cyber acoustic speakers for cheap starter speakers.
a friend just got some. sounded darn good for 30 bucks.
(about 500 bucks, then add an maudio audiophile sound card for 150 bucks).
then add for 29 bucks ...powertracks from pgmusic.com that i use. a superb cheap multitracker software allowing you to record lots of midi and live digital audio tracks(48).
add a cheap ub mixer - 50 bucks and a couple of mics. i like cad and beyer.
all told with cables this lot (everything) should give a gross spend of about 850 bucks if you shop wisely. this is about the lowest budget i can suggest for a starter. you could save a couple of hundred if you shop for a used pc like a amd duron. but it might be too much hassle.
