N-Track File Organization

Hello,

I use N-track, and am basicaly very pleased with it. I find that while laying down tracks, I end up with a bunch of numbered wav and npk files that are sitting in my N-track folder. I may be missing an obvious solution, but I am looking for some experienced thoughts on how to organize these sound files. Thanks in advance!

If you save your project before you record the first track, n-track will name all the track .wav files as <projectname>_X.wav. I'm also fairly sure that it will also put them into the directory that you saved the project into.

Hello Andrew,
I also find it very useful to create a new folder on the drive that you want to save your wav files on and give it the name of the song that you are working on at the time. Then in ntracks, I go to file/preferences/paths and on the bottom of that window there is a place where you can name the working directory where you want all of the files to go to for that song folder that you created before. Then all the wavs and peak files will go to that song folder and will be easy to find. Also do what gaffa says, and after making the first track of a project, save the song as... whatever you want the song to be named. To do that you go to "file" then "save song as".
I can find stuff a lot easier this way.
