Wasn't that crosstudio? I may have the spelling wrong there...not sure how many s' there are in his name.

If not, duh, sorry.

I think Crosstudio is from the Wash DC area. Maybe Mr. Que?? (Or is it MisterQ?)

The only one I found close to my imagination was Dachay2tnr. Avatar does fake you... :D
I'm not sure I like the idea of you imagining me, James.

:D :D :D

One thing I have found that helps with weak sounding mixes out of Sonar (I have had exactly the same problem as you), is to put the Tape Sim plug in in my main audio track. I just like the sound of it, and it does a good job of limiting, and warming up tracks. You have to be very careful which model you use, and turning off the bass boost seems to give it a more natural sound, although the bass boost has helped some of my mixes. Give it a try.

How does the Tape Sim limit the signal? You can adjust the output gain, but it's no limiter... use the "Limiter"-effect for that. ;)

James Argo wanted to attach pic of dachay and his moustache, but decided not to attach the image.

the tape sim plug is supposed to simulate and analog tape compression so it may help a little to limit/compress the volume...i dunno personally i didn't like that plug myself

Hey I thought the tape sim added an OVERDRIVEN sound thats what it seems like to me. basically it adds distortion!! though it emulates adding punch. add a little to much and youve got mud:D

Therefore Ive used it sparingly on drums only

Hey I could be completely wrong here but thats what my deaf ears hear:confused:

Peace
Bill

Jaymz... ever figured out the drummap and soundfont thing?

Then you can just use the Amp Sim plugin (which in my opinion, also sucks)... ;)

My ears

I don't know how it works technically. Silly me, I just use my ears. It doesn't seem to kill my signal, yet it does limit it. How do I know? Those flappy things on either side of my head tell me. They also don't seem to like the sound of the limiter plug in. Silly creatures.

That's the way it should be! If it sounds good, use it! :)

Thanks Moskus

That's what I believe. Besides that kind of thinking justifies why I bought my Event 20/20bas near fields...
