My transport curser(the verticle line) is jerky

I don't know what to call the verticle line that tracks along with playback so I just call it the "transport curser".

At any rate my transport curser has suddenly started "jerking" along in short, regular but annoying intervals, rather than smoothly tracking the current playback point as it used to. The running time clock also "jerks" along with the curser. Yet all the while the actual audio playback is just fine ie. smooth and continuous.

It must be a setting that got changed by accident but I've gone into every setting I can think of and no luck. I've also tried the "help" system with no luck.

It's an annoyance more than anything else as everything else seems to be working fine.

Can anyone help me to figure this out?

Does it happen in every project or only one?

Jerky Line

I use sonar 7XL and had this happen also only on one project and this project had a lot midi lines going 43, I figured it was all the midis doing it the only time I have saw it do it.

It seems to have fixed itself

After I rebooted the computer the jerky-ness went away and the transport curser is moving smoothly again... I don't know why it started jerking.

Thanks

On a couple Sonar upgrades - 3 to 4 and 4 to 6 - I had to upgrade my video drivers to stop twitchy-looking playback.

You most likely accidently hit your "pause" or "Scroll" button on your QWERTY keyboard. It lowers the demand on your CPU. Read about it in the "Help" file in Sonar.
