My MXL990 is broken...

If I tap on the outer screen when it's recording, it picks up the tap and the sound of the metal, but if I try to speak through it or record an instrument... it just doesn't work... believe me... I have checked my mic pre's, my cords, my sound card, and everything else... it is definitely my mic that is broken.

I'm not really sure what to do with it.
 
Warranty? Contact Marshall? Did you purchase from eBay or retailer?

Questions, questions, I know. Can't really help ya much, sorry.

I second that, but first, check your phanton power. It would also be great if you could try another condenser mic, if you have one. Nothing's worse than sending a mic in for repair, only to find that you forgot to turn the phantom power on!

heh thanks, I checked the phantom power. I got this with the purchase of my aardvark direct pro 24/96 soundcard... so I don't know. I'll check with MXL. thanks guys.
