My LED keeps clipping / going OVER

I've gone into the control panel and set the OVR threshhold to 0.0
But playing my tracks that are hardlimited to -0.2dB will make the LED go to the red OVR section on the 1884. even playing (some) commerical cds or mp3s will make it peak.

i'm confused, what would cause this? there's no extra hardware or effects units in the chain, just pc + 1884 + active monitors. no eq enabled on anyhting.

So does this mean you can set it to "clipping" mode?
If so...switch it to that and see if it clips..... also i would set the threshold to -6 db....i know on my soundcard...all the ins/outs and mains are set to -6db as the default.

try that and post back here
