My first track with a new singer. Tell me what you think of the vox and the mix.

I like the song and the vocal both - just not sure if they match up yet in the mix. The low end of the song is very deep and tends to run over the singer - maybe doubling the voice or asking them to shout at it in a couple of spots? But aside from that and what you noted yourself, I think this is a good sounding song and a very nice voice.

Very nice singing. Reminds of Alision Moyet. Mix wise, I'd like the vocals up a touch maybe, or maybe the guitar down a tad. Really like the song and the instrumentation. Good stuff.

Thanks guys.

Thanks for your feedback guys. I was thinking to raise the vocals a bit too, but I also thought the balance gives it that "vocals as instrumentation" feel. I dont want this singer to get LSD or anything heheh.
Ill raise them like 1 db and see.

i think the vocals should be more present in the mix and the guitars could be a little more sparkly (is that a word?) they just sound a little dull to me....its a nice tune but the vocals have much more emotion than the instrumentation

the mix sounds good to me and the overall performance is good just needs to jump out in the higher frequencies more...and say some falling delay on the rhythm guitar at points

good job though

Thanks for the feedback guys. Ill see what i can do with the guitars an raise the vox a bit. Mabey add some wetter effects on the vox? Anyone have any ideas brewing on that?
