fprod, very good recording. At least to my ears. I'm not the expert here. But it sounds super to me. I really like the drums and the vocals kick. Band sounds real tight.

Hey man I like this a LOT.

My main gripe I think would be the mudiness in the low end (250K-ish?) that I think is due to the effects buildup.

I like the vocals very much...no complaints there...good levels too.

Cymbals get a little crazy, and I don't think they should be louder than the toms, etc.

What a very cool and unique mood you've set here. I like the stereo horns. Those cymbals are destroying the stereo buildup you have at the end.

Great song!

Yes....give me more!Goes great with my vicodin buzz. The guitar could be brought up a tad and the crash is too overbearing in the end but overall a great sound/style.Those are horns right?Maybe some creative panning could punch those up a little.Good vox but what the hell is mingus?Drummer sets down a nice even groove, top notch performance.A very pleasing piece.Post a couple more on Nowhere

thanks for the responses

dtb,
thanks for the kind words

sluice,
mudiness seems to be my biggest enemy, even without the buildup. I'll try a 250k cut. I've only put eq on the individual tracks so far. I've never tried putting eq on the whole mix.
Thanks for the cymbal comment. I hadn't realized they were too loud. But now that you point it out I totally hear it. I'll try to fix that.

W.I.S.C,
Mingus is a jazz bassist from (I could be wrong) the 40's and 50's. I didn't write the lyrics. That's really all I know about him. Thanks also for the cymbal comment. I'll work on that. I don't know what I could do to pan the saxes better. But they could use more punch.
