Bass sounds like it's compressed with a very fast attack time, makes it sound flabby, I think a crisper attack would suit the song better (IMHO only of course). Sound slike its in the production, not the playing. Have you tried cutting the EQ below 50 hZ or so?

Powerful vocals, very accomplished, but for me they are not riding right - they get buried in some parts and over powering in others - that may well be what you want artistically however. Loved the guitar.

It's good to hear that the guitar sounds better. That is usually the part that I suffer with the most. I've never mixed bass before so I don't quite no what to do with it. I'll try your suggestion.

If you want, you can post all the tracks and I will give it a shot for you...

Did you send her a compressed bass track Rokket? I know you don't record with compression but your bass part seems to have lost definition somewhere, somehow along the line. There's no transient at all when you hit the notes, which IMHO this song really needs.

They are loading right now. It should take about 20 minutes, I think. Maybe less.

No, it was raw and dry. I think I can add life to it if I get the tracks. I'll be watching for them, and I'll send her the .wav of the mix when I am done.

I see everyting but the bass. I will get back to you in a couple days and see if you like what you hear...

Do you need the bass track up on the site? My server is down at the moment but I will keep trying.

Yeah, I had to delete it from my pc when I was done, so I will need all the tracks up. Sorry. I tried to get them a bit ago but I guess your server was down. I can get them all in about 4 hours, if you can have it up by then.

You could always re-record the bass part.... ???

I can mix when the family is home, but I can't track... so if worse comes to worse, I'll treat them to a movie or something. I could retrack it, now that I have my mixer. I didn't have it when I did it initially. I gotta see if I can get the rest of it off of there first.

Looks like the server is up (I can play the mp3's) but the wav files haven't been uploaded yet....

:(

Got the same thing. I will wait.

I'm still trying. I don't know what the deal is. I will try to load one at a time, maybe I am overloading it.

That could be. They average around 30MB each, so it could be an overload.

I am trying again and it has gotten further than it has before so maybe it will work this time. I found a rather large file taking up a lot of space for my web hosting service. I deleted it and am hoping that will do the trick.
