I'll be going the hardware route. Cant use a computer because of medical condition (Diziness problem).

Instead of those headphones, i'll be getting the Sony MDR-7506
 
looks good, thats a digital 8 track right? I love your screen, im making gobos as we speak but its a pain! way to go, what stuff are you into music-wise?
 
No actually dis is a 16 Track Multitratcker- 16-Track with Built-In CDR and Effects.40GB internal HD

Im into hiphop, I'll be using those just to record my vocals. feel me?

The Fostex looks good, but consider this unit if only for it's addition of a midi interface. It's $200 more than the Fostex but in my opinion is twice the recorder.

Then of you're really into hip hop you know that most serious hip hop producers use --- and swear by -- an MPC.

The newest and hippest is the MPC 2500 but there are three other current models and many so-called 'legacy' models that are no longer in prodution. Beware of the older models though --- they have a postage stamp's worth of memory compared to my MPC 1000 with the 128 megabyte memory expansion and the 20 gigabybe internal hard drive.

Everything else looks solid. Those are the same speakers I decided on for home use and I'm completely satisfied.
