Basically you just need to sit farther away from the TV while watching your instructional videos. Especially if you have single-coil pickups, which are much more succeptable to noise from such sources as the CRT of a TV. Just back it up man!

Also, turning down the distortion will help.

Or, if you have a computer in the house that has both a DVD player and a flat-panel or LCD monitor (a laptop maybe?), watch it on that instead. They don't cause nearly as much interference as a CRT does.
 
i got negative rep for asking how to fix a problem with a buzzing amp when trying to watch tv. i didnt know it would matter to u people that much on what i was watching. It was a guitar instructional dvd by the way. wow, people. seriously. thanks for those that helped. and fuck the others
 
TV solution

My little dog got restless one day and chewed up the antenna cable going to my tv, I never have repaired it yet and don't regret it a bit. That little bitch is smart enough to realize the crap thats on Television and you gotta admire her statement and solution!! :D :D :D

Unless you're trying to learn guitar while watching a guitar instructional dvd.
 
No-she didnt chew the dvd cabling...only the antenna cable, dvd's play fine. She knew what she was doing LOL!!!
 
lol. yeah my dog tried that trick when the tv was on...
she doesnt do too much anymore
