LOL...

It's pronounced like ha-o-lay if you say it fast, but the "lay" is said very short and fast.. more like "le".

I don't consider "haole" the same thing as something like "******". The term is used a lot by here just to simply describe someone who is white. Someone might ask, "what did he look like?", and it's perfectly acceptable to say, "oh, he was a haole guy".

And how did this thread turn from ADK Mic to Haoles? :P

Might have been this...

Fucking haoles everywhere.

That's a little less benign than "oh, he was a haole guy", which I have no prob with. Like other racial labels, it's a lot about context, and putting the F word in front of it usually defines the context in the most negative way.
Anyway, I'm sorry to have hijacked your thread. But I'd have done the same if it were the N BOM, or any other racial slur.
Now about that Hamburg........

Nice sounding clip. Not my style of music but very nice sounding, great job!

I want to again congratulate you in that recording. I found myself going back and taking a listen today just cuz i felt like it...it's nice!

Recording sounds really good man.. One thing though, I do notice a good amount of siblence.. But I think this probably being intensified by the reverb being used, and probably doesnt reflect on the mics performace. I have a hamburg on the way.

Thanks for posting!

What all did you use the reverb on anyways? How was the guitar recorded?

Slowjett, you're right... it was my reverb that made all that siblence, and it's a bit too much. I finished the mix and dampened the reverb on the high end, so it sounds better... thank you!

bigj, thanks for the encouragement! Jet is a great songwriter and I showed him your comment.

dmc, the ambience reverb was just used on the main vocal (since it's processor intensive) and then just used the fruity reverb and another freeware reverb for the other stuff.

there is no guitar, but only my ukulele :)
