That is a falcate braced guitar (carbon fiber) such as Trevor Gore & Gerard Gilet developed. Even the bridge & bridge plate are carbon fiber. The resonance is astonishing.

Both of those luthiers are from Australia, but mine was built by Jacob Van Gundy in Ohio, USA.

What year is The Gibson A style mandolin? I know quite a few people who worked there in Kalamazoo back in the day. One has collected mandolins that her dad helped build.
