Mxl604?

Hey. I've heard a lot of decent to good things about the 603s, but are there any opinions on the 604? 100 bucks for one, comes with a few pads and has the roll off switches. Thinkin about getting them for drum overheads, thoughts?

The 604 is relatively new, so info is a little sparse. There is a clip here on overheads and guitar/vox. I think they would be a good buy, especially considering the inclusion of switchable caps.

I am very impressed by that fishing song. I have a 604 just haven't had a chance to use it yet, but after hearing that clip, sure seems like a good buy to me.

It's been rumoured that the 604 is the 603 internally with an extra head. Don't know whether or not it's true.

I don't know either, but the frequency response graph is virtually identical. Check MXL's site.
